Together since 2012, Ferguson Young is an East Coast/Celtic band from Hamilton, Ontario. Three guys just keeping the east coast ‘kitchen party’ spirit alive! Their music will get your toes tapping with that Celtic flare or have you singing along with favourites everyone knows! This band brought the Kitchen Party atmosphere to Hamilton over 11 years ago. After living in Prince Edward Island, Liam moved back home to Hamilton in 2007. He brought the East Coast Kitchen Party tradition back with him and since then the crowds continue to love the vibe and overall good feeling. Today, the band features Liam McGlashon on fiddle, James Ferris on vocals/guitar, and Owen Mahoney on bass.
Liam is a multi-instrumentalist known for his fiddle first and foremost but you can sometimes catch him pick up the banjo, mandolin, guitar, whistle or bagpipes. James, originating from Nova Scotia joined the band in 2012 and knows the words to the songs that will have you singing along. He’s has great way of mixing East Coast traditional and classic favorites which appeal to all ages. Guitar and harmonica are his instruments of choice. His energy is contagious! Owen plays bass and his voice is the perfect blend when harmonizing or telling a story while singing himself. Together they are Ferguson Young. A band bringing smiles to the crowd.
